As you know, on May 3rd, 2010, UAL Corporation (UAL) and Continental Airlines (CAL) announced their agreement to merge “as equals”.
Many questions have since been raised regarding how the integration of the seniority lists will take place. We are all committed to a fair and equitable process and are looking for volunteers from within the rank and file to form a Local Continental Airline Seniority Integration Committee. This committee will consist of seven (7) rank and file members.
If there are more than seven (7) volunteers wishing to be part of this committee then an election will be conducted to determine the committee member(s). The function of this Committee shall be to collect the thoughts, concerns and suggestions of the local membership as they relate to seniority integration.
If there is anyone interested in volunteering to be part of this committee please notify the Union office no later than the January 21, 2011.
