Bid Area Qualifications
Effective with the date of ratification of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) employees will be required to possess an “A” and “P” license in just about all Bid Areas relating to aircraft maintenance. The CBA has protected all employees who were on the seniority list prior to the date of ratification by the grandfather language of Article 3.E.
Notwithstanding the above, it will be the employees’ responsibility to update his Bid Area qualifications (BAQ) within ninety (90) days of ratification. If you have not done so already we urge everyone to check your BAQ’s in E-Bid. Please make sure everything you were qualified for pursuant to Article 3.E is accurately reflected in your BAQ’s. Please note the Union is no longer part of the approval process. Should you feel you are being denied a qualification in violation of the CBA notify the Union office immediately so we can intervene on your behalf.
Should anyone have any questions regarding this update or anything else for that matter please do not hesitate to contact the union office immediately.
