Dear Members,
As many of you know in recent years many of our members now commute to work from other cities. In light of the recent FAA changes concerning admission to the flight deck (jump-seating) some members as well as the Local Union believe it to be in our best interest to create a “Commuter Committee”. (See link below to download FAA letter)
The function of the committee will be to discuss ideas, issues and matters that relate to the best interest of our commuters. Such issues include but are not limited to pass boarding and jump- seat policies. We are looking for volunteers to sit in on this committee. We ask that you be a commuter in order to serve on the committee.
If anyone is interested please call the Union office with your contact information. We are looking for a group of 4-6 volunteers. Once the committee is in place we will schedule meetings accordingly.
