June 9, 2010 Dear Members, Recently there has been some confusion regarding who is responsible for the cost of hotel rooms when a member is dispatched on a field trip or training. Article 12 (Field Trips) and Article 13 (Training) are very clear and unambiguous as they pertain to hotel rooms.
Dear Members, On May 1, 2010 an acknowledgement memo was released by Continental Airlines illustrating rules and regulations regarding accessing the sterile area of the airport when traveling. The memo stated such employees must undergo screening at TSA security checkpoints and submit any items intended to be taken aboard the aircraft for screening.
