You negotiating committee will be meeting with the Company this week (December 16th and 17th, 2008), in Houston, Texas to begin formal negotiations. The opening proposal detailing our proposed language changes will be given to the Company at these meetings. The Company may have a proposal of their own or they may choose to counter the Union's opener. In either event your committee is prepared to move forward.
A full presentation outlining the proposed language changes was given at the November 5, 2008 membership meeting at the Holiday Inn North on Frontage road. Once the Union turns over the opener to the Company we will make it available for all to read in its entirety.
