Dear Members,
The negotiating committee met at the IBT building in Washington this week. We reviewed, discussed and mutually passed proposals on Article 1 – Scope. Article 16 – Benefits was also discussed and addressed after the committee met with benefits advisers of the IBT to prepare and compose a counter proposal on this Article. Through Mediator Iannone, a request was made of the company for the furnishing of some of the benefits information that was requested in the latter part of April, 2010 and not yet received. This information should be received by the committee shortly. Once this information is received, a proposal will be crafted to pass to the company in June.
