It has been brought to our attention that there will be strict enforcement of company guidelines when operating vehicles in the “Air Operations Area” (AOA) especially, around or near an aircraft.
Recently, an increase in Aircraft damage has raised concern over how vehicles are maneuvered near or around an Aircraft.
We strongly recommend that everyone become well versed and accustomed with the company policies and procedures regarding operating a vehicle in the AOA and around aircraft.
In order to assure compliance with company standards management has informed us that they will be carrying out periodic checks inside the AOA to assure that all policies and procedures are complied with.
The guidelines of “Operating around Aircraft” can be found by way of your training records under the Tech Ops portal. Please make certain that you are diligent by heeding to the policy and by having proper equipment needed to perform your job function(s) in accordance with all policies and procedures.
Further, if an unsafe environment arises or there is unsafe equipment please document your findings and alert your supervisor immediately.
